Road and rail rivals should try taking a walk
I wonder whether those who praised the report of the Herald’s public transport inquiry registered its bland assumption that pedestrians were young and reasonably fit. The one-page discussion on pedestrians observed they were generally granted ‘’seven to 10 seconds to dash across the street” and suggested that countdown timers could reduce unsafe crossings.
